As someone who attended a highly competitive high school (South Forsyth), earned good grades, and participated in organizations like DECA and FBLA, I know how difficult it is to stand out in the college admissions process. One of the most common things I hear from TiE Atlanta High School Program alumni and parents is that college admissions officers genuinely want to hear more about their experience in the program. Unlike traditional extracurricular activities, The TiE high school program gives students the opportunity to identify real world problems, develop innovative solutions, interview customers, build prototypes, work alongside successful founders and industry experts, and pitch their startups to angel investors and venture capitalists. It's a unique, hands-on experience that helps students develop leadership, creativity, and problem solving skills while giving them a compelling story that sets them apart on college applications."
