A successful serial entrepreneur, Raj has founded/run/grown, and sold several companies, including FrameFlow (a visual effects studio sold to Sony Pictures), Camber Corporation (where he was the principal owner and sole director of the company and which grew from start-up to over 1000 employees and over $100 million in revenues and was subsequently sold) Pulseworks and CyberScrub.
He brings over 25 years of successful start-up growth management and diversification of various technology companies and operations, both domestic and international. He has been featured on the INC500 list of fastest-growing private companies and made the state finals for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He has also received several similar corporate and community success awards, notably the Excelsior Award from NETIPN-NY.
He began his career with the Tata Administrative Service. Later, Mr. Deshpande managed senior positions at Burroughs/Unisys before acquiring Camber Corporation as a start-up in early 1992. Mr. Deshpande lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Sheila (also from IIT Kharagpur), and both are active in their current business interests.
