A successful, serial entrepreneur, Raj has founded/run/grown a number of companies including FrameFlow (a visual effects studio sold to Sony Pictures), Camber Corporation (where he was the principal owner and sole director of the company and which grew from start-up to over $100 million in revenues and was subsequently sold) and Pulseworks.
Currently he spends most of his time as CEO of Pulseworks, a leader in deploying, owning and operating high tech, immersive motion simulation, virtual reality and other attractions at prestigious locations such as the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Smithsonian Museum of National History, the Museum of Science & Industry Chicago, the Field Museum, Navy Pier, and many other locations.
He has been featured on the INC500 list of fastest growing private companies and made the state finals for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award. A Charter member of TiE and a past President, he has also been a recipient of numerous awards including the Excelsior Award from NETIPN-NY.
He began his career with the Tata Administrative Service. and managed senior positions at Burroughs/Unisys. Mr. Deshpande lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Sheila (also from IIT Kharagpur) and both are active in their current business interests.
